(NYSE: TYL) today announced the release of its Tyler Public Safety iPad® application (app) to deliver mission-critical computer aided dispatch (CAD) and convenient records management system (RMS) access to first responders. The Tyler Public Safety app is a true Apple® application developed specifically to take advantage of unique Apple iOS capabilities.
The Tyler Public Safety app aids real-time situational awareness and officer safety with bi-directional incident and call-data linking first responders, dispatchers and administrators with:

- Silent messaging and live chatting for real-time communication
- Hands-free operation through native dictation technology

The city of Bartow, Fla., is the first beta tester for the app. Bartow is the county seat of Polk County and has approximately 17,000 residents.
