Ohio's The Amicus Group Partners with Tyler Technologies to Deliver Courts & Justice Solutions in Ohio

Akron, Ohio (May 26, 2009) – Tyler Technologies, Inc., (NYSE: TYL) and Ohio's The Amicus Group, Inc., today announced the creation of a strategic partnership to deliver best-in-class software solutions and integration services for courts and justice related agencies in the state of Ohio.

This announcement brings together the talents and expertise of two market leaders in integrated justice solutions. The two companies are collaborating to offer Ohio courts Tyler's Odyssey® software product suite, a time-tested and proven solution currently used by hundreds of counties across the United States, including 30 percent of the nation's 20 largest and most complex counties.

This first-of-its-kind partnership combines the strength of Tyler's Odyssey product suite with Amicus' deep-rooted knowledge of Ohio court systems and its world-class solutions integration capabilities. As a result, the partnership has the potential to significantly streamline the implementation of a new system, resulting in reduced costs and improved efficiencies for Ohio courts.

"With thousands of U.S. judges and county clerks using Odyssey software today, Tyler has clearly established itself as the nation's leading provider of integrated justice solutions," said Peter T. Zackaroff, president and managing director of Amicus. "Due to Amicus' experience with Ohio court systems and our local presence, we will have the ability to set a new standard of quality and support to all courts in Ohio."

Benefits to Ohio

Unlike the case management systems many Ohio courts currently use, the Odyssey software suite is designed to simplify the judicial process by automating the tracking and management of information involved in all case types, including criminal, traffic, civil, family, probate and juvenile courts, leaving less room for error and saving taxpayer money.

Through the Tyler/Amicus partnership, Ohio courts will have the opportunity to benefit from Odyssey's solutions all through the process, from arrest through prosecution, disposition and supervision. This will improve efficiencies and help eliminate duplicate data entry. It will also make the system more convenient; residents will have the option to pay traffic tickets and check case schedules online.

"Today's announcement brings together The Amicus Group's strong capabilities and unique understanding of the Ohio judiciary system with Tyler's expertise in delivering fully integrated, mission-critical software," said Bruce Graham, president of Tyler's Courts and Justice Division. "The objective of the partnership is to provide the Ohio courts with a proven, robust and scalable software solution from a vendor with a national presence, a loyal customer base, and best-of-breed products. Most importantly, the quality of service and support that Amicus will deliver from its Ohio based team is without peer."
