Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed an agreement with Culver
City, Calif. (www.culvercity.org),
located in western Los Angeles County, for Tyler's Munis enterprise
resource planning (ERP) solution. The agreement, valued at
approximately $1 million, includes related professional services,
maintenance and support.
Culver City began looking for a new ERP solution because its previous
software was antiquated and difficult to use and upgrade; it lacked
modern electronic workflow and self service functionality; and it
required time-consuming, manual processes to analyze data. Culver City,
a major center for motion picture and television production, evaluated
five ERP vendors and invited Tyler and two others to demonstrate their
system capabilities.
"Tyler's Munis system was selected because it was the most user-friendly
and intuitive to use," said Jeff Muir, Culver City's chief financial
officer. "Additionally, it was apparent during the demo that Tyler's Munis
would lead to huge productivity gains through the use of its electronic
workflow, employee and citizen self service, and robust reporting tools."
"We are very excited about the process improvements that will
undoubtedly be realized upon implementation and training of Munis," said
Mr. Muir. "These improvements will result in the Finance and Human
Resources Departments being equipped to provide better service to city
staff, citizens and businesses."
"Our clients can depend on the longevity of our products because
continually investing in functionality and technology is part of Tyler's
evergreen philosophy, and it's a value clients receive at no extra
cost," said Richard E. Peterson Jr., president of Tyler's ERP & School
Division. "Additionally, our solutions are designed with end-users in
mind, focusing on the tools and workflows they need to better do their
jobs. We are pleased Culver City partnered with Tyler and we look
forward to a long relationship."
