Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed an agreement with Sussex
County, Del., for Tyler's Munis®enterprise
resource planning (ERP) solution. The agreement, valued at
approximately $1.1 million, includes related professional services,
maintenance and support.
Sussex County selected Tyler's Munis ERP solution to replace their
15-year-old JD Edwards system that lacked workflow efficiencies,
hampered productivity and did not provide system integration across
county departments. Tyler is uniquely positioned to fill this role, and
with Munis, the county can benefit from one integrated system that
provides enterprise-wide reporting, reduced data entry and improved
internal controls. Sussex has made the decision to invest in a wide
range of Munis
applications, including financial management, human capital management,
citizen services and content management.
"Sussex County selected Tyler's Munis solution because it is a
comprehensive system that integrates across county departments and is
the best fit for our current and future ERP needs," said Gina Jennings,
Sussex County's director of accounting. "By implementing Munis, a system
that is sold solely to the public sector and is configured to handle
governmental accounting and its unique financial regulations, the county
will have a huge advantage toward meeting its goal of following industry
best-practices while becoming more efficient and productive."
"Tyler's products serve as the backbone for core business functions in
the public sector and we are dedicated to helping our clients streamline
the many aspects of their financial management and citizen services
systems," said Richard E. Peterson Jr., president of Tyler's ERP &
School Division. "We look forward to a long partnership with Sussex
County."
