Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed a contract with Boston
Public Schools for Tyler Incident Management, an application that
integrates with Tyler's Versatrans®
transportation software suite providing the district with a complete
school transportation management solution.
Tyler Incident Management gives Boston's school and transportation
administrators flexible access to record and manage all incidents that
occur at schools or on the buses. Incidents such as bullying,
disciplinary actions, medical emergencies, bus accidents and vandalism
can be recorded with Tyler's Web-based software to alert appropriate
parties and to document resolutions. Boston also plans to use Tyler
Incident Management to track parent and school service complaints.
"Tyler Incident Management allows us to deliver high-quality service to
our families and schools, while holding us accountable to being
responsive," said Carl Allen, Boston Public Schools' director of
transportation. "This is a flexible tool from which we can pull
analytics to provide consistent reporting in accordance with our
policies and procedures."
"Incident management is an important aspect of school and transportation
administration, and Tyler Incident Management provides the analytics
districts like Boston Public Schools need to evaluate and manage
operations at an enhanced level," said Ted Thien, senior vice president
of Tyler's Versatrans solution. "At Tyler, we're focused on providing
transportation management software solutions to help school districts
like Boston's improve every aspect of the transportation process."
