Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) today announced that the Idaho
Courts have selected Tyler's Odyssey® court case management
system for statewide implementation. The contract includes software
licensing fees, professional services and a multi-year maintenance
agreement.
The Idaho Courts submitted a request for proposal (RFP) for an
integrated court case management solution to replace its decades-old
system which had reached its end of life. After a comprehensive and
competitive bidding process, the state's selection committee chose Odyssey
because it will improve access to court information for internal and
external stakeholders, improve integration of information with judicial
partners, and maximize the efficiency of the court's business processes.
Tyler's significant track record of successful statewide implementations
also factored into the decision, as did Tyler's ability to provide a
comprehensive solution and on-going maintenance and support at the
lowest cost.
Chief Justice Roger S. Burdick, chair of Idaho's Court Technology
Committee, said, "The Idaho Courts are excited to move forward from an
aging computerized case management system to a modern Web-based
electronic court records system, subject to appropriations. This shift
will improve the efficiencies and effectiveness of our courts as we
transition to an electronic court record. Tyler's proven solutions will
help us streamline court operations, improve the delivery of information
to judicial partners, provide enhanced services to the public and save
costs."
The state chose multiple Odyssey applications to help meet its
operational goals, including court case management, content management,
financial management, jury management, public access, and electronic
filing (e-filing). Odyssey SessionWorks® Judge and Clerk
editions were also selected to present data digitally to clerks and
judges on the bench via touch-screen technology.
"By going through a competitive bid process and by investing in proven
technology, the Idaho Courts and its technology selection committee have
shown leadership and established a technology path for the future," said
Bruce Graham, president of Tyler's Courts & Justice Division. "Tyler
proved to the state that Odyssey will help the Courts improve its
business practices and provide Idahoans with increased access to court
information. We're proud to partner with the state of Idaho and look
forward to a successful implementation."
The state of Idaho has 44 counties and a population of approximately 1.6
million. Idaho will be the 11th statewide implementation of Tyler's
Odyssey solution, which has been successfully deployed in Indiana,
Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota and South Dakota;
statewide implementations in Maryland, Rhode Island, Oregon and
Washington are currently under way. With the addition of Idaho, Odyssey
will be used by more than 500 counties in 20 states, serving more than
75 million residents.
