Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed a contract with the city
of Detroit's Finance Department, Assessments Division for Tyler's CLT
Appraisal Services. Tyler will provide the city with real property
appraisal data verification, sketch conversion and valuation services.
The agreement is valued at approximately $7 million.
Detroit has not completed a full reappraisal of its real property in
more than 50 years. The city executed a competitive request for proposal
process and sought an experienced vendor to conduct a comprehensive
appraisal valuation study, including an evaluation of existing property
conditions and improvements. The project will also include the creation
of digital property sketches of all improved properties and real
property data verification.
Detroit has approximately 396,000 total parcels and is the most populous
city in Michigan with a population of 701,000. Tyler's CLT Appraisal
Services - the country's only national mass appraisal services company -
has appraised more than 30 million parcels across 46 states.
