Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed an agreement with the
city of Hartford, Conn., for Tyler's EnerGov®
planning, permitting and licensing solution to deliver efficiencies
across multiple city departments.
The city of Hartford selected Tyler's EnerGov Web-based automation
solution to streamline permitting processes while improving workflow
management. EnerGov's mobile applications will provide enhanced
accessibility in the field, and its citizen services capabilities will
offer transparency of services for all users. Hartford, the state's
capital with a population of roughly 125,000, has used Tyler's Munis®
enterprise resource planning software suite since 2007.
"The implementation of EnerGov across multiple departments promises to
deliver thousands of dollars of savings to the city and its customers by
reducing time-and-material costs while allowing permits to be issued
more quickly and efficiently," said Daniel Loos, Hartford's director of
licenses and inspections. "Using EnerGov, our customers can apply and
pay for permits and licenses and track their status online. They can
also submit plans and documents for review and receive feedback and
approvals via email. Additionally, Hartford's existing relationship with
Tyler makes integration between applications simpler and more cost
efficient overall."
"EnerGov's platform was designed specifically to automate business
processes and connect governments with its customers, like those at the
city of Hartford," said Brett Cate, president of Tyler's Local
Government Division. "We are committed to designing and deploying
industry-leading solutions that help cities, counties and other
municipalities meet business goals, and we're pleased to help Hartford
deliver even more value to its constituents."
