Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed a contract with the city
of Henderson, Nevada, for Tyler's EnerGov®
permitting, licensing and planning solution to replace the city's aging
legacy permitting solution and continue to improve efficiencies among
departments. The agreement includes software licensing, implementation
services, related professionals services, training and support.
Rather than upgrade its legacy permitting system, which had become
difficult to support and maintain, the city opted for a competitive
market review to find a modern technology system that would better fit
staff and residents' needs. Henderson ultimately chose Tyler's fully
integrated EnerGov solution.
Henderson is known for being technologically progressive, including
adopting market-leading technology systems. The city chose EnerGov
because it wanted a solution that would reinforce its sophisticated
business practices and help bring city departments together to expedite
customer interaction. Tyler's EnerGov solution streamlines the
permitting process, improves customer service management and supports
citizen and employee online access. As an enterprise-wide system,
EnerGov will help Henderson increase interdepartmental collaboration so
it can deliver a higher level of customer service.
Additionally, EnerGov met Henderson's requirement for a
commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) system that doesn't require extensive
customization. EnerGov's mobile applications will also provide Henderson
staff enhanced, real-time accessibility while in the field.
Incorporated in 1953, Henderson is Nevada's second largest city with
more than 270,000 residents. Henderson is a progressive and vibrant city
committed to maintaining premier amenities and services for residents
and visitors alike. Henderson has been ranked in the "Top 100 Best
Cities to Live: America's Best Small Cities" by MONEY Magazine three
times, most recently in 2012; Henderson was also ranked among "America's
50 Best Cities" by Bloomberg Businessweek in 2011.
