Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed a contract with the city
of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to implement Tyler's Munis®
enterprise resource planning (ERP) and Incode®
municipal court case management software solutions.
The city of Murfreesboro sought to replace its legacy applications with
a modern system that includes financial, human resources, payroll,
content management and municipal court functionalities. By updating its
technology, the city will provide users with a full range of ERP
functionality, enabling them to more effectively plan, control and
account for the city's business activities and resources.
With more than 20 city departments, Murfreesboro is a full-service
government, delivering a variety of services to residents. Increased
demand for automation, data analysis, and operational improvements drove
the need for technology changes to support the city's more than 900
employees and system users.
Murfreesboro selected Tyler's Munis solution to more effectively manage
all data associated with budgets, expenditures, revenues and services.
Munis will support policy and productivity decisions across all
departments, including finance and tax, human resources, water and
sewer, and fleet services.
Tyler's Incode municipal court management suite will help improve
efficiencies for municipal court business processes, providing case
management, document processing and cash/bond management, while also
implementing internal processes that help eliminate duplicate data entry.
Part of the Nashville metropolitan area and home to Middle Tennessee
State University, Murfreesboro has more than 117,000 residents.
