Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed an agreement with the
San Francisco County Transportation Authority in San Francisco,
California, to implement Microsoft Dynamics®
AX, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution with public
sector functionality that Tyler Technologies jointly developed with
Microsoft®. The contract includes implementation and related
professional services, training and support.
Tyler has been successfully designing, developing, implementing and
supporting software solutions - exclusively for the public sector - for
more than 30 years. As part of the Tyler-Microsoft agreement, Tyler is
an authorized reseller of Microsoft Dynamics AX and provides software
support and other standard services.
The Transportation Authority selected Microsoft Dynamics AX to replace
its legacy financial and accounting software to increase the efficiency
of its operations and better support its complex business needs. The
Transportation Authority plans to leverage the functionality of
Microsoft Dynamics AX and to integrate paperless document management
throughout its business processes.
Created in 1989, the Transportation Authority administers the city's
half-cent transportation sales tax and is responsible for long-range
transportation planning and coordination of multiple transportation
funding sources. In these capacities, the Transportation Authority
oversees and assists in the delivery of capital improvements for San
Francisco's roadway and public transportation networks. With more than
830,000 residents, San Francisco is the state's fourth-largest city and
the only county-city consolidation in California.
