Leon County Property Appraiser in Florida was awarded for its innovative
development of custom functions and sophisticated views in iasWorld
that resulted in increased productivity for their staff and improved
services to taxpayers. Leon County is home to the state's capital of
Tallahassee and has a population of more than 283,000.
The Montgomery County Auditor's Office selected Tyler Verify for data
verification services and street-level imaging during its reappraisal
process, saving the county time and money on the data collection process
while improving accuracy and performance measures. The county also
created a new website to exclusively provide reappraisal information.
Montgomery County is Ohio's fifth most populous county with
approximately 535,000 residents; its county seat, Dayton, is home to
Tyler's Appraisal & Tax Division.
Award submissions were evaluated by a panel of Tyler leadership. Entries
were judged on business value, maturity, innovation and relevance to
other public sector organizations. Additional criteria met by award
winners include:
-
Creating a unique process that utilizes a Tyler application
-
Realizing significant savings after implementing a Tyler product
-
Increasing staff productivity by implementing a Tyler product
-
Empowering employees, citizens or vendors
"Leon County Property Appraiser and the Montgomery County Auditor's
Office were selected for Tyler's Public Sector Excellence Awards because
they used technology to improve customer service and create operational
efficiencies," said Andrew D. Teed, president of Tyler's Appraisal & Tax
Division. "We're pleased to offer our yearly user conference as a way
for our forward-thinking clients to share best practices with their
public sector peers. Congratulations again to Leon County and Montgomery
