Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed an agreement with the
city of Arcadia, California, for Tyler's EnerGov™
planning, regulatory and maintenance solution. The agreement includes
software licenses, implementation and project management.
With a legacy system no longer meeting the growing city's needs, Arcadia
conducted a competitive review for a new system to automate the tracking
and processing of infrastructure and capital assets. The city wanted a
solution that included permit tracking capabilities for its Development
Services Department, which is responsible for reviewing construction
plans and issuing building permits.
The city chose EnerGov because it can automate and connect multiple
departments and critical functions, as well as eliminate manual
processes and increase interdepartmental collaboration. Arcadia valued
how EnerGov's flexible reporting tools will enable employees to analyze
business performance, and how the solution allows staff to work more
proactively.
As a Web-based automation solution, EnerGov streamlines permitting
processes while improving workflow management, business processes and
customer service, and provides online access to employees and citizens.
EnerGov's mobile applications will give staff real-time data access
while in the field via laptops, tablets and smartphones. To further
connect departments, EnerGov will integrate with Arcadia's single
geodatabase, which is accessible by all departments.
The city will benefit from Tyler's evergreen perpetual licensing
approach that provides regular and significant, yet manageable, software
enhancements without an additional relicensing fee, ensuring all systems
are using the latest technology.
Arcadia, about 15 miles northeast of Los Angeles, has approximately
60,000 residents.
