Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed an agreement with
Chatham County, Georgia, for Tyler's Munis®
enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. The agreement includes
software licenses, related professional services, maintenance and
support.
Chatham County, needing to replace its legacy financial system,
conducted a competitive review for a comprehensive, integrated ERP
solution that could improve citizen services, employee productivity and
decision-making capabilities. The county also wanted a system flexible
and scalable enough to keep pace with future growth.
County leaders partnered with Tyler because they value the company's
deep public sector experience. The county also liked how Tyler's
contemporary solutions align with the acumen of the county's technology
savvy employees by offering more automation and modernized processes. As
a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solution, Munis provides better
operational, reporting and analytical tools than traditional legacy
systems.
The county chose core Munis applications, including financial, revenue,
content and human resources management. The county will benefit from
Tyler's evergreen perpetual licensing approach that provides regular and
significant, yet manageable, software enhancements without an additional
relicensing fee, ensuring all systems are the latest technology.
Chatham County, located in southeast Georgia with Savannah as its county
seat, has approximately 283,400 residents and 1,600 employees. The
county is also currently implementing Tyler's Odyssey®
integrated court case management system and Tyler's e-filing
application, Odyssey eFileGA™. Additionally, the county is
implementing Tyler's iasWorld®
appraisal and tax administration software and several integrated
solutions, including iasWorld Public Access™, iasWorld Field Mobile™ and
iasWorld SmartFile.
