Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed an agreement with DeKalb
County, Georgia, to implement Tyler's Odyssey®
court case management solution. The contract, valued at approximately
$2.6 million, includes software licenses, related professional services,
maintenance and support.
"We are excited to begin the implementation of our new case management
system, Odyssey; this has long been a goal for me that our county
utilize and benefit from the best," said DeKalb County Clerk of Superior
Court Debra DeBerry. "I am grateful to my partners, the CEO, Board of
Commissions and our IT folks for making this possible. I also want to
thank the DeKalb County Bench, Magistrate, State and Superior courts,
and the sheriff and district attorney for their cooperation in providing
efficient, cutting-edge technology to better serve the citizens of
DeKalb County."
The county selected multiple Odyssey applications, including case
management and financial management, to integrate processes across the
county's offices. The county, a suburb of Atlanta, has a population of
713,300, making it the third-most populous county in Georgia.
DeKalb County can also access Tyler dataXchangeTM, which
allows neighboring jurisdictions to share data, thereby automating the
flow of information and streamlining operations across offices and
agencies. DeKalb County's location between two other Odyssey clients,
Rockdale County and Fulton County, makes sharing information about
warrants, citations and more between counties particularly valuable.
Odyssey is also fully integrated with the county's e-filing platform,
Odyssey eFileGATM, which is also provided by Tyler and is
being used by courts in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
"We're excited to expand our partnership with DeKalb County's court
system to help them move closer to their goal of an integrated court
system," said Bruce Graham, president of Tyler's Courts & Justice
Division. "Tyler has decades of experience successfully implementing
software statewide and in counties of all sizes. We look forward to
continuing this long-term relationship that will transform DeKalb
County's justice community into a cohesive, connected enterprise that
can efficiently grow and evolve to meet the future needs of its
constituents."
In total, Odyssey serves more than 100 million residents, a third of the
U.S. population, in more than 600 counties across 21 states. Odyssey has
been successfully deployed statewide in Indiana, Minnesota, New
Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota and South Dakota; statewide
implementations in Idaho, Maryland, Oregon, Rhode Island and Washington
are currently underway.
