Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed a seven-year software-as-a-service
(SaaS) contract with Bibb County School District in Georgia for Tyler's
Munis®enterprise
resource planning (ERP) solution. The agreement includes hosting
services, related professional services, maintenance and support.
Bibb County School District selected Tyler's Munis ERP SaaS solution to
replace its 25-year-old AS400 system that could no longer support
critical business functions. The school district chose to invest in a
wide range of Munis
applications, including financial management, human resources, payroll
and content management.
"Bibb County School District issued an RFP because of the immediate need
to update information systems and infrastructure to improve operational
effectiveness and student achievement," said Sharon Roberts, Bibb County
School District's executive director of accounting. "I am extremely
excited to implement Munis and look forward to the district using an
up-to-date ERP system that includes electronic approvals, requires less
paper, has more user-friendly processes, and allows management to make
timely accurate decisions based on easily accessible real time data."
Bibb County School District also selected Tyler Pulse™, an information
warehouse tool that acts as a central data repository. Tyler Pulse
combines and transforms data from multiple databases into highly usable
information that supports effective decision-making. Tyler Pulse
integrates with the district's transportation management solution,
Tyler's Versatrans® solution.
"Munis delivered as a cloud-based solution is a cost-effective way for
Bibb County School District to meet operational needs," said Chris
Hepburn, senior vice president of Tyler's ERP & School Division. "Munis
will enable the district to become more efficient, productive and
responsive to the needs of its students through integrated software. We
are pleased Bibb County School District extended its partnership with
Tyler and we look forward to a long relationship."
Bibb County School District serves over 24,000 Macon-Bibb County
students. It has 39 schools and three specialty programs and employs
approximately 3,300 employees.
