city of Mesquite, Texas, for Tyler's EnerGov™
planning, regulatory and maintenance platform to replace the city's
legacy system. The agreement includes data conversion, related
professional services, training and support.
The city of Mesquite is currently working to replace its multidepartment
community development system, which includes planning, permitting,
inspections and information systems. EnerGov met the city's needs for a
scalable and flexible solution that would integrate with the city's
other systems, have a strong mobility component, and online self-service
to expand government access for residents and businesses. The city was
also attracted by Tyler's extensive public sector experience and success
helping municipalities become more efficient by automating and
modernizing processes.
Tyler's EnerGov platform gives Mesquite an enterprisewide permitting,
land and license management solution that eliminates manual land
planning processes, streamlines business operations and helps deliver
the best possible customer service. Mesquite also currently uses Tyler's Munis®
enterprise resource planning (ERP) and Incode®
court case management solutions.
The city will benefit from Tyler's evergreen perpetual licensing
approach that provides regular and significant, yet manageable, software
enhancements without an additional relicensing fee, ensuring all systems
are using the latest technology.
Mesquite has approximately 142,000 residents and is about 10 miles east
of downtown Dallas.
