Tyler Technologies (NYSE: TYL) today announced that the Superior Court
of California, County of San Mateo, will implement Tyler's Odyssey®
court case management software throughout its traffic, civil, family
law, probate, small claims, adoption, and juvenile dependency divisions.
The contract includes software licenses, related professional services,
maintenance and support.
In 2014, the court chose to replace its legacy system with Odyssey to
simplify processes and procedures in criminal and juvenile delinquency
cases. Based on its positive experience with that first project, the
court elected to implement Odyssey in its remaining case divisions.
The superior court is a unified, countywide court with five physical
locations in South San Francisco, San Mateo and Redwood City.
The court used California's Master Service Agreement (MSA) that gives
the state's superior courts the ability to purchase Tyler's Odyssey
integrated case management system at pre-negotiated terms, conditions
and pricing outlined in the MSA. This MSA was developed by a group of
court managers and IT leaders within the California judicial system as a
way for the state's superior courts to efficiently purchase a case
management system. Odyssey has been selected for use by 25 of
California's 58 superior courts.
San Mateo County has approximately 750,000 residents and is home to San
Francisco International Airport.
