Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed an agreement with the
city of Waco, Texas, to replace its current legacy systems with an
integrated suite of Tyler software solutions. The agreement includes
implementation, professional services and support.
City leaders wanted a single-vendor solution to modernize Waco's
technology infrastructure to improve data management and streamline data
collection and document review. The city also wanted to eliminate manual
land planning processes while expanding online services for residents
and businesses.
After a competitive review for a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS)
solution, the city of Waco selected Tyler's Munis®
enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, EnerGov™
planning, regulatory and maintenance platform, and Incode®
court case management solution. Waco found value in Tyler's extensive
public sector experience and track record of helping municipalities
create efficiencies, improve business operations and increase customer
service.
Waco selected multiple Munis, EnerGov and Incode applications to meet
various business objectives. Purchased Munis modules include financial
and human resources management. Tyler's EnerGov platform will provide
Waco with an enterprisewide permitting, land and license management
solution; and, EnerGov's mobile applications will give staff real-time
data access while in the field. By implementing Tyler's Incode municipal
court system, Waco will have criminal case management, warrant
scheduling and jury management capabilities. Waco's single-vendor
strategy with Tyler was designed to enhance data sharing across city
departments.
Waco, which is about halfway between Dallas and Austin, has
approximately 124,000 residents and 1,500 staff. Founded in 1849, Waco
is home to Baylor University and is the county seat of McLennan County.
