Spotsylvania County Public Schools has selected Tyler's Munis®
enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. The agreement includes
implementation, training and related professional services.
The school division conducted a competitive review for a new financial
management and human resources and payroll solution because the
division's business needs had outgrown its legacy system's capabilities.
In their search for a new system, school division leaders emphasized the
need for an integrated ERP solution that could automate many of the
administration's processes. The division also wanted a comprehensive
human resources and payroll solution that could track personnel data
from application through retirement within the K-12 environment. The
division also sought advanced employee self-service capabilities.
The Virginia school division invested in a wide range of Munis
applications, including financials, human resources and payroll,
employee self-service and Tyler
Content Manager. Munis is a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solution
that provides powerful reporting and analytical tools. Tyler has decades
of ERP experience with Virginia school divisions.
The integrated nature of Munis will allow the school division to
eliminate standalone systems, which should increase efficiencies as it
pertains to business operations and transaction processing.
Spotsylvania County Public Schools serves approximately 23,700 students
in 29 schools.
