A few weeks ago, Tyler announced its 2024 Excellence Award winners, an impressive group of 29 public sector clients who demonstrated their leadership, innovation, and excellence in developing, deploying, and maintaining Tyler solutions within their jurisdictions. 2024 marks the 15th year that Tyler has been recognizing Excellence Award winners, and things have changed quite a bit since 2010.
In 2010, we recognized eight winners who demonstrated excellence with our ERP, appraisal and tax, and local government solutions. Today, our 29 winners span across Tyler’s numerous product lines, with many clients using multiple Tyler solutions. Instead of awarding winners by product category, we recognize them in more descriptive categories, including Civic Interaction & Public Trust; Connected Community; Data & Transparency; Operational Efficiency; and Performance & Innovation. Since 2010, Tyler has awarded more than 300 public sector organizations as Excellence Award winners.
Here is a snapshot of our impressive 2024 winners by the numbers:
- Received 85 submissions for the Tyler Excellence Awards, the largest number ever
- Winners represented 15 U.S. states and Canada
- Texas had the most winners at five, with California, Kansas, and Ohio following at three winners each
- Winners represented cities, counties, states, special districts, and school districts

Tyler CFO Brian Miller comments on Tyler’s acquisition integration success.
Our M&A strategy represents a core competency for us and a key growth pillar. We are pleased to see significant value and cross-sell synergies from our 2023 acquisitions through early traction and growing demand for our enhanced AI-powered solutions.
We see growing interest for CSI’s market leadership in AI-driven automation and intelligent document processing technology, which is being leveraged across many of Tyler's vertical applications. During the first quarter, our existing Enterprise Justice client, Dallas County, Texas, added CSI Artificial Intelligence e-Filing with approximately $900,000 of new ARR. This represents the largest CSI product win since its acquisition in August 2023.
We’ve also seen demo activity double over pre-acquisition levels for our Augmented Field Operations solution, which we acquired with ARInspect, a leading provider of advanced AI field operations with specific public sector expertise. First quarter wins included the city of Newark, New Jersey, Manhole Inspections and an expansion contract with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. This extends our Applications Platform with intelligent edge technology that is being leveraged across our state and federal verticals.
Priority Based Budgeting, powered by ResourceX, adds priority-based budgeting solutions to our entire ERP portfolio to address key challenges our clients face in the traditional budgeting process. Key first quarter contracts included Collier County, Florida, and Fort Worth, Texas, which together added almost $600,000 of ARR.
